Daily Inspiration

  • The Daily OM, aiming to “nurture mind, body & spirit” you can expect a daily article to help you consider a particular aspect of your spiritually or give you practical exercises to enhance your life
  • Inspire Your Day, a website created by an Australian Photographer and Inspirer, you not only get a daily quote but notification of a variety of personal growth opportunities and events
  • Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God, will send you a daily message from God (it’s uncanny how much they apply to your daily life at times)
  • The Daily Mystic, is published by Mystic Medusa, a flamboyant and creative Australian astrologer who informs you of the position of the planets and what you can expect as a consequence of this each day!

  • CouchSurfing International, a worldwide network of people who will open up their homes and hearts to travellers – beats hotels and hostels any day!
  • Travelblog, a great site to inspire your next travel destination. Search thousands of destinations and see what people have written about it and an easy-to-use platform for your own travel blogging.
     

Political Activism

  • Educating for Justice, a US-based grassroots organisation helps empower people to end social injustice, with particular aims to improve conditions of sweat shop workers around the world 
  • GetUp!, an Australian-based movement aimed at reforming and shaping our nation’s political agenda through coordinating active participation 
  • Avaaz, is a global movement with over 3 million supporters that wants to create a global voice on issues relating to our environment, human rights and war
     

Kindness to Mankind

  • Fred Hollows Foundation, started in Australia, is an international organisation working at creating a world where no-one is needlessly blind, and improving Australian Indigenous health
  • Médecins Sans Frontières, Doctors Without Borders, has won a Nobel Peace Prize for their work in delivering humanitarian emergency aid around the world

 
Earth Consciousness

  • The Wilderness Society, is the leader in environmental advocacy within Australia, helping to protect our unique natural heritage
  • Greenpeace, not just crazy demonstrators on small boats, this is a global independent organisation instrumental in shaping how we care for our planet
